Co Founder
Brian Stratton
Brian began his entrepreneurial career as a founding member of his family's business within the concrete production and transportation industry. Although he enjoyed growing the family business from a grassroots beginning into a thriving organization, his true passion was music, more specifically the guitar. Brian expanded his knowledge of the music business while attending Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. After graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in Business Management, Brian formed Lazy Blue Guitars.
Brian is thrilled to take advantage of the opportunity to give back to his community and country by introducing the positive attributes playing musical instruments has on a person's well-being. Brian is grateful for first responders and members of the United States armed forces and is thankful for the opportunity to share his passion through the work of Code 3 Guitar Project.
Co Founder
Paul DiPilla
Paul's involvement in the fire and Emergency Medical Service began in 1997 when he graduated from Colorado's Federal Heights Fire Academy. After obtaining his Emergency Medical Technician certification, Paul began working with the Broomfield Emergency Ambulance Service, where he received his Paramedic Licensure. In 2000 Paul became a member of the Colorado Springs Fire Department. Paul served the community of Colorado Springs for 21 years as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Paul worked as a Tactical Emergency Medical Squad member for eight of those years where he had the honor of serving side-by-side with the Colorado Springs Police Department and El Paso County Sherriff Department as immediate medical support for their Special Weapons and Tactics teams. After proudly serving his community for 24 years, Paul medically retired after being diagnosed with severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Paul understands the overwhelming effects and the daily toll a career as a first responder can have on both the first responder as well as their families. In response, Paul co-founded Code 3 Guitar Project as a way to reach out and provide assistance to those in need and help his community.
Paul wishes to give special thanks to Brian Stratton of Lazy Blue Guitars for giving us the opportunity and the platform to reach out to those who need help.
